Delete your account

You can do this yourself, in the app, in under a minute. Nothing is hidden behind an email to support.

In the app

• Open KlubX and go to Profile.
• Tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.
• Scroll to Delete account.
• Type your display name to confirm. That is deliberate: a red button gets pressed without reading, and this cannot be undone.

If you own a club, transfer it first. A club cannot be left without an owner, so the app will tell you which club is holding you back and send you to the screen where you hand it over. Once it is someone else's, you can delete your account.

Without the app

If you cannot get into the app — you lost the phone, or you cannot sign in — write to klubx.app@proton.me from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and then delete it.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes, immediately and for good:

• Your profile, name, photo, bio and birthday.
• Your cars, their photos, their modifications and their build logs.
• Your drives and every GPS point in them.
• Your posts, comments, reactions, polls and votes.
• Your direct messages and the photos in them.
• Your memberships in every club.
• Your sign-in credentials and your push notification tokens.

The files are removed from storage as well as the database, not just unlinked.

What stays, and why

Photos you uploaded to a club event's shared album stay in that album, without your name on them. They belong to the event and to the people in them, not only to whoever happened to press upload — the same reason a photo you took at a meet does not disappear from everyone else's memory of it when you leave. Your name is removed; nothing points back to you.

Contributions you recorded in a club fundraiser stay in that club's ledger as a record that the money was accounted for, without your name.

If we are legally required to keep something for a period — for example a record of a report about illegal content — we keep only that, and only for as long as the law requires.
